Public Hearing on Proposed Fourth-Round Housing Element & Fair Share Plan

Notice of Public Hearing

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-13 et seq., please take notice that on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., the Planning Board of the Borough of Hightstown will conduct a public hearing on the adoption of a Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan of the Master Plan. Such hearing is being undertaken pursuant to the requirements of N.J.S.A. 40:55D-28 and N.J.S.A. 52:27D-310. The Borough’s affordable housing obligations include a Present Need obligation of 47 housing units, a Prior Round obligation of 38 housing units, a Third Round Prospective Need obligation of 68 housing units, and a Fourth Round Prospective Need Obligation of 35 housing units.

A copy of the proposed Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan of the Master Plan is on file for public inspection at the Borough of Hightstown Municipal Building, 156 Bank Street, Hightstown, NJ during normal business hours, excepting public holidays. Any party interested in asking questions or commenting on the amended Housing Element and Fair Share Plan may do so at the public hearing to be held at the Hightstown Firehouse located at 140 N. Main Street, Hightstown, NJ, on the second floor (entrance on the left side of the building).
