Charming 1.2 square mile Borough with an annual budget of $10 million (general plus water-sewer utility) seeks an experienced full-time Administrator to oversee its day-to-day operations. Position requires a senior level professional with a minimum of 5 years NJ municipal management experience. Successful candidate must be a goal-oriented problem solver with high integrity and must be proficient in finance/budget, labor relations, contract negotiations, human resources, grant writing and redevelopment. Candidate should be community oriented and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, highly proficient computer skills (experience with Edmunds system is a plus) and the ability to manage multiple assignments on a daily basis. Hightstown Borough Board of Health is accepting applications for a FT Public Health Nurse position.
The Public Health Nurse works under general supervision and uses knowledge from nursing, social and public health sciences to promote and protect the health of populations through the performance of core public health functions and the delivery of essential public health services. Responsibilities include communicable disease investigations/reporting, community health education, immunization audits, well child clinics, preventative adult health clinics, public health emergency planning and response, representing the Health Department on local public health coalitions, and related work as required. Minimum requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Public Health Nursing Science approved by the National League for Nursing, a current and valid registration as a Professional Nurse in the State of New Jersey, a minimum of two years of experience in the public health field and a valid NJ Driver’s License.
